As Re:Coded’s Technical Lead in Iraq, Shereen coaches our fellows to become incredible Android and full-stack developers in class and throughout their client projects. In addition to her role as a trainer, Shereen has also led a team of developers to create the first freelancing platform for displaced youth in the Middle East, now in beta version. Shereen is also a fellow with the MIT Refugee Learning Accelerator, where she is developing coding training for the world’s 420 million Arabic speakers.

Before joining Re:Coded, Shereen worked as a Software Engineer for SoftMax, one of Iraq’s leading software companies. Shereen holds a Bachelor of Software Engineering from Albaath University in Homs-Syria.

When Shereen isn’t coding you can find her reading, watching movies and thinking about all the other things she could be doing if she wasn’t thinking about those things.
