Marcello Bonatto


Marcello drives strategy, operations and growth plans for Re:Coded and helps to manage the awesome Re:Coded team. In this role, he works across our teams to think strategically about what challenges and opportunities exist to make us a more effective and impactful organization.

Marcello’s deep curiosity about leadership and innovation in the social sector have led him to work with a variety of organizations from government to social enterprises with a focus on education, particularly across developing countries. Prior to Re:Coded, Marcello led human rights and peacebuilding programs in Myanmar, Bosnia, Colombia, and West Africa, as well as managed bilateral projects between Brazil and Canada for four years. In addition to his role as Co-Founder at Re:Coded, Marcello is also currently investigating ways to use mobile technology to report attacks against education globally. Marcello holds a Masters in International Affairs from Columbia University where he was a Lehmann fellow.

While Marcello isn’t working, you can find him following Golden Retrievers on Instagram, brewing the perfect cup of coffee and playing his guitar.
