Re:Coded Advanced Android Developer Bootcamp

Location: Erbil, Iraq
Deadline: April 23, 2019

Android dominates the market of mobile operating systems, with over 80 percent of the global market share. According to the 2017 Stack Overflow Job Trends Report, Android Developer is one of the Top-3 most in-demand developer positions in the job market.

In this bootcamp, students will learn best practices for Android and mobile development and build a portfolio of Android apps. By the end of the program, students will have the skills you need to become a professional junior-level Android Developer within a wide range of organizations and environments: from large corporations where participants would likely be part of a development team, to entrepreneurial start-ups and contract projects where participants could be working independently to deliver an application.

If you are a Java programmer who is interested in mastering the Android platform and building top-rated Android apps, this is the program for you.

In order to succeed in this bootcamp, we strongly recommend that you are proficient in Java. We use Java exclusively for our example code and require you to submit your coding in Java.

If you are proficient in another object-oriented programming language like Python or C++, you should be able to complete the program successfully as long as you are comfortable learning Java throughout the bootcamp.

You also must have experience working with and sharing code using git and GitHub.

There are eight total projects in the complete program, which are designed to give you an opportunity to apply the skills you’ve learned in each lesson. You must complete all projects in order to graduate.

  • Sandwich Club App

  • Popular Movies App - Stage 1

  • Popular Movies App - Stage 2

  • Baking App

  • Build It Bigger

  • Make Your App Material

  • Capstone Project - Stage 1

  • Capstone Project - Stage 2

Each project will be reviewed by the trainer. Feedback will be provided and if you do not pass the project, you will be asked to resubmit the project until it passes. You must complete all projects during the term period.

This is a bootcamp aimed at Android developers that are really passionate about coding and more specifically developing Android apps.

We chose to do this bootcamp to give developers that have 1-2 years of experience in Java and Android the opportunity to enhance their Android development skills to a whole other level; where they would be able to get required skills to build any application they can think of and to take them from a beginner to a more intermediate level.
